MEAN WELL introduced the new SD-500 series (500W) enclosed type DC/DC converter that expands our SD product lines to higher wattage range for the growing demand of high wattage DC/DC applications. After this, our DC/DC enclosed type product line would be complete and become one of the few manufacturers that can provide from 15W, 25W, 50W, 100W, 150W, 200W, 350W, 500W, to 1000W. The whole product line will consist of 9 families and totally 78 models. Accompany with our existing DC/DC module type series, on-board type (NSD series), and PCB type (PSD series) products, MEAN WELL can offer the most diversified DC/DC product portfolio in the market!

Featuring 4:1~2:1 wide DC input range and 2000VAC input/output isolation, SD-500 series have two kinds of DC input level – 19~72V(L type), 72~144V(H type) and three kinds of DC output level – 12V, 24V, 48V for end users to select from. With built-in short circuit, over load, over voltage, over temperature, and input polarity protections, these compact converters with the same size as SD-350 (350W) are suitable for general electrical engineering usage, automotive, and battery back-up applications which have space constraint and required a compact DC/DC power solution. Other standard function includes output OK signal, remote ON/OFF control, and remote sense function that can fit in with many possible special end applications.
