From Taiwan to the World: Creating a Chain Effect of Green Transformation
As the first international green building benchmark within the SDG Group, the MEAN WELL Taiwan headquarters serves as a model for future developments. Currently, MEAN WELL Europe, MEAN WELL USA, and the expanded office and manufacturing facilities of the group’s subsidiary PowerNex Manufacturing Co., Ltd. are all being planned and developed in accordance with LEED green building certification standards.
Mr. Ted Cheng, Chairman of MEAN WELL, stated:“We are not only manufacturing power supplies; we are building a sustainable ecosystem.”
To enable more precise energy management, MEAN WELL has also partnered with ESG solution provider GREENWIZ to jointly develop the E-power OS intelligent energy management platform.
By integrating MEAN WELL’s advanced power solutions with energy storage applications, the platform enables digital and data-driven monitoring. This transforms energy conservation and carbon reduction from isolated facility improvements into a globally connected implementation. It not only enhances operational efficiency within the company but also provides customers worldwide with high-performance green building solutions.

Comprehensive Sustainability in Action
Since 2021, the Group has incorporated nine of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals into its corporate sustainability blueprint. The company has also established a carbon reduction roadmap, targeting a 5% reduction in carbon emissions annually and achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.
MEAN WELL actively promotes product carbon footprint assessments and green supply chain management, while independently developing the LINK carbon footprint platform. This ensures that every MEAN WELL power supply product aligns with the global trend toward low-carbon transformation. Together with its partners, the company is committed to fulfilling environmental responsibilities and building an SDG industrial value network.
On the environmental and social front, MEAN WELL continues to promote the “Love Tamsui River Sustainable Action” initiative. The program brings together government, industry, and academic partners to conduct water quality and biodiversity monitoring, demonstrating the company’s commitment to protecting the river basin ecosystem through concrete actions.

Through initiatives such as LEED certification and the E-power OS platform, MEAN WELL is enhancing both building performance and product efficiency while transforming sustainability goals into tangible competitive advantages.
As a power leader, MEAN WELL is leveraging its capabilities to work with global partners toward achieving carbon neutrality by 2050, contributing to a better environment for future generations.

About LEED Certification
LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is the world’s most widely adopted and authoritative green building rating system. Developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), it evaluates buildings across multiple criteria, including energy efficiency, water conservation, indoor environmental quality, and sustainable site development.
Achieving LEED Gold Certification signifies that a building ranks among the top 10–15% of sustainable buildings worldwide in terms of operational performance and environmental friendliness.
