In the global power supply industry, product safety and regulatory compliance are not only quality requirements, but also the key to enter the market successfully for customers. MEAN WELL has long been committed to building a global safety certification system, with tens of thousands of products complied with global market access regulations. By investing hundreds of millions of NT dollars annually in global certifications, MEAN WELL not only ensures product quality and user safety, but also helps customers significantly shorten time-to-market and gain a competitive edge.

Guided by MEAN WELL's quality policy of “Comprehensive Quality Assurance” and “Customer Satisfaction, “Global Certification” has been listed as one of its five core values. The company continues to strengthen its international regulatory and conformity assessment capabilities. MEAN WELL has built safety certification laboratories at Taiwan headquarters, and its Guangzhou and Suzhou subsidiaries in China and obtained witness-free laboratory recognition from multiple international certification bodies. In addition, the headquarters has established “Certification Center” operating for surveying and planning the global safety, energy efficiency, and electromagnetic compatibility regulatory compliance and certification of new products in various industries and target markets, ensuring full compliance with global market access and energy efficiency requirements.

Furthermore, MEAN WELL has obtained the recognition from UL and DEKRA for CTDP (WTDP) and CTF (Customer Testing Facility) IEC/UL ANSI/AAMI ES 60601-1 medical safety laboratories recently. This milestone demonstrates that MEAN WELL's safety compliance capabilities in medical power supplies and high-reliability products have reached a higher level that recognized by international certification organizations. UL WTDP (Witness Test Data Program) and CTDP (Client Test Data Program) are trust-based programs founded on rigorous capability assessments. WTDP allows testing to be conducted under UL witness, while CTDP authorizes qualified laboratories to perform testing and submit test data by themselves, so as to further reducing certification lead time. The CTF program, derived from the IECEE CB Scheme, allows approved manufacturers to conduct IEC-standard testing in their own laboratories, with results directly applicable to CB certifications in multiple countries, significantly improving certification efficiency. Recently, MEAN WELL has obtained CTDP (WTDP) and CTF accreditations from UL and DEKRA, that represents a highly recognition of MEAN WELL's laboratory management, technical expertise, and quality discipline.

With user safety as the top priority, MEAN WELL ensures that new products undergo safety, energy efficiency, and EMC compliance verification for all target markets during the development phase, so as to maintain stable operation and zero-risk use. Looking ahead, MEAN WELL will continue to leverage “Global Certification” as a critical competitive advantage, working closely with customers to accelerate product launches and expand opportunities in global markets.
