With proximity sensors becoming a standard component in industrial automation, equipment manufacturers increasingly require sensing solutions for high-speed counting, slot positioning, and thin or transparent object detection. To provide customers with a more comprehensive range of industrial automation peripherals, PowerNex introduces the MUS Series Slot-Type Photoelectric Sensors, further expanding its sensing product portfolio for industrial automation applications.

The MUS Series features an integrated U-shaped optical design with the emitter and receiver housed in a single enclosure, eliminating optical alignment and simplifying installation. With a 3kHz high-speed response, 5~24VDC wide input range, and NPN/PNP open-collector outputs, the series can be easily integrated with PLCs and industrial control systems. It is suitable for high-speed counting, positioning, object detection, and limit control applications.

The MUS Series also provides excellent ambient light immunity and built-in surge and reverse polarity protection for stable operation in demanding industrial environments. Available in multiple housing designs and mounting options, the series is suitable for space-constrained equipment and a wide range of applications, including industrial automation equipment, packaging machinery, conveyor systems, electronic assembly equipment, logistics sorting systems, printers, automatic doors, medical equipment, and smart machinery.
