As the demand for smart buildings and energy-saving solutions continues to grow, intelligent lighting has become an essential part of modern building infrastructure.
As the leading international standard for smart lighting control, DALI-2 offers advantages such as high interoperability, precise dimming performance, and a comprehensive certification framework. It is widely adopted in commercial buildings, healthcare facilities, exhibition venues, and premium public infrastructures. As lighting control requirements become increasingly sophisticated, the market continues to demand LED drivers with enhanced dimming accuracy, multi-channel control, color management, and system integration capabilities.
To meet these evolving application needs, MEAN WELL has introduced the SPWM-DA2Q Series, a four-channel constant-voltage LED driver that complies with IEC 62386-101/102/207/209 standards and is fully DALI-2 certified. The series is available in 75W, 150W, and 240W power ratings, with output voltage options of 12V, 24V, and 48V.
Designed for a wide range of LED strip lighting applications, the SPWM-DA2Q series maintains consistent color temperature and color performance while ensuring uniform brightness, making it an ideal solution for smart building lighting systems.
Technical Highlights of the SPWM-DA2Q Series:
- 1. The SPWM-DA2Q features four-channel constant-voltage PWM output. Through built-in DIP switches, users can configure the driver to support various control device types.
- RGBW color mixing
- Tunable white lighting
- Dimming applications
Detailed configuration options are shown in the application setup table (Figure 1). The combined output power of all channels must not exceed the rated output power of the selected model.

- 2. According to DALI IEC 62386-209, color control is divided into two categories:
A. Standard Color Control
- Broad compatibility
- Built-in power limitation
- Stable operation
B. Extended Color Control
- Utilizes the full output power of the luminaire
- Enhanced color performance
- Improved dynamic lighting effects
Users can configure the SPWM-DA2Q series to operate in either Standard or Extended Color Control mode through DALI commands, allowing the system to meet the requirements of different lighting applications.
