During the meeting, Founder Mr. Jerry Lin elaborated on the core spirit behind the MEAN WELL brand name, “mean well,” symbolizing goodwill, a principle that has remained unchanged for more than four decades. MEAN WELL and SDG Group teams also presented their global development strategies, highlighting innovations in green energy technologies, ESG achievements, and the planned establishment of MEAN WELL Europe’s new Green Headquarters in the Municipality of Haarlemmermeer, the Netherlands.

Chairman Mr. Ted Cheng emphasized, “We aim to build a solid and growth-oriented European operations center that provides more timely technical services and localized support.” This highlights Haarlemmermeer’s strategic advantages, international connectivity, and sustainability vision, making it an ideal location for realizing MEAN WELL’s “co-prosperity” philosophy. The new site is scheduled to break ground in the first quarter of 2026 and will serve as MEAN WELL Europe’s operations center. It will be designed in accordance with LEED green building standards to enhance energy efficiency and ensure sustainable construction.
Mayor Ms. Marianne Schuurmans-Wijdeven expressed strong support, stating, “We are honored that MEAN WELL has chosen Haarlemmermeer as the location for its European headquarters. This investment not only aligns with our commitment to sustainable development, but also symbolizes a closer partnership between the city and leading international enterprises.”
▲This exchange strengthened green business ties and reinforced the spirit of co-prosperity between Taiwan and the Netherlands.

Haarlemmermeer, located near Schiphol Airport, is one of the Netherlands’ key cities for promoting innovation and sustainability. Mr. Patrick Verhulst of the Amsterdam Trade & Investment Office also shared insights into the region’s development in green energy technologies, talent cultivation, and corporate service ecosystems, expressing hopes to strengthen collaboration with MEAN WELL and jointly achieve both economic growth and sustainable outcomes.
