In a world where sustainability has become a core requirement for every enterprise, the SDG Group drives public welfare with its brand at the core, bringing sustainable values from meeting rooms to rivers and wetlands. For MEAN WELL, “brand value” goes beyond products, it transforms into a tangible expression of social responsibility.
Since 2011, MEAN WELL has launched the “I Love Tamsui River” initiative, continuously promoting river cleanups, patrols, advocacy, and civic education. Established in 2021, the SDG Group aligns its governance with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), aiming to nurture over 100 ESG-driven enterprises by 2030, expanding brand responsibility across society and the industrial supply chain.

▲ MEAN WELL partners with CommonWealth Magazine to launch the 2024–2028 “Ocean Forest: Shezidao Action,” inviting the public to take part in sustainability efforts.
In 2024, continuing its “Do One Thing for the Tamsui River” campaign, MEAN WELL joined hands with CommonWealth Magazine to promote the five-year “Ocean Forest: Shezidao” plan.
On October 18, 2025, employees, partners, and suppliers were invited to step into the wetlands and participate in the restoration of the rare Acrostichum aureum. From only four remaining plants to over 200, the recovery of this species has been remarkable yet fragile.
Environmental educator Mr. Te-Hung Chen noted:“They are still vulnerable residents.” The Acrostichum aureum often competes with Miscanthus, reeds, and bittervine, which climb, block sunlight, and steal nutrients. Without regular care, the ferns would once again be buried beneath the overgrowth. Under the scorching sun, dozens of volunteers worked side by side—sweating and bending down to clear space for the rare plant to thrive. This was not only an act of environmental restoration but also a living embodiment of the brand’s values: through hands-on participation, sustainability becomes the core narrative of MEAN WELL’s brand story.

In addition to on-site action, the MEAN WELL Foundation has installed the “Water Guardian” monitoring system across major tributaries of the Tamsui River—including the Dahan, Keelung, and Xindian Rivers. By tracking real-time water quality data, the system creates a science-based monitoring network that empowers public participation in river protection.
During the Wufen Harbor Creek initiative, partners gained first-hand experience with water monitoring applications, putting into practice the integrated value of “Brand × Technology × Sustainability.”

▲ MEAN WELL Chief Sustainability Officer, Mr. Patrick Wang, led by example—joining partners in the field and taking part in the hard work firsthand.

▲ MEAN WELL applies scientific data to guide river conservation efforts.
Looking ahead, the SDG Group will continue its efforts in wetland restoration and water quality monitoring, further expanding its corporate impact. A Tamsui River Cultural Memorial Hall is planned for Shezidao Park, integrating ecology, culture, and education to create a “River of Life” that embodies sustainability. By 2028, the initiative aims to engage 5,000 participants in the Ocean Forest: Shezidao Action, collectively witnessing the revival of clean water and thriving ecosystems.
Through long-term dedication, MEAN WELL has woven its brand tightly with rivers, land, and communities. This is more than a CSR activity—it is a cross-generational commitment: to restore the life of the Tamsui River and to redefine brand value through real social action, creating a new paradigm of “Brand × Sustainability.”
▲ MEAN WELL teams and strategic partners continue participating in ecological education and river conservation efforts.
